{This is my Eulogy I plan on giving Friday at my brothers funeral and I wanted to share it with, thank you for your kind words and prayers....I am so greatful}

For those of you who don’t know me I am the baby sister of the family. My Dad suggested that I try and find something humorous to say in my few minutes I had up here, and I all could think of was stories where Chris contributed to my mischief as a teenager or sharing what it was like having three older brothers as a teenager…the words torture come to mind.

My mind is flooded with memories of Chris when I was growing up, Christmas’ never lacked entertainment and his smile was contagious. There are so many memories that I could share of him but that’s not why I wanted to speak today.

For the last few months, out of our hours of conversations and things he shared with me, one of those he said many times was that he wanted to do something great for God. I want to help him do that, I know that he wanted to be able to tell each of you the great things that God had done through all of this, to tell you that God brought this baby sister and my big brother closer together; it allowed us to become friends. He got to enjoy the sound of my children laughing, the importance of family and sharing his heart. As a family God used all of this to draw us all closer together, and teach us the value in having one another. But the greatest of all these is that Chris would want to share is that he gave his heart and life to Christ. Everyday through texts or conversations He wanted everyone to know that he was trusting God. Even the morning of his passing he told mom that he was trusting God all the way.

You don’t have to be a great speaker or someone perfect to do something great for God. Chris wanted people to see that even at the worst moments in our lives when it seems all hope is gone, God is right there with us.

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

As I was writing this I wanted Chris so badly to speak up and tell me what he wanted the world to hear, but I already knew, He trusted God even when he said he felt like he could see no way out. In an email he sent to a friend he said “my faith is firmly rooted and I leave it in God's hands. And believe with every fiber, as he is right there with me, always.”

As I continued reading through a few of his things I came across something that summed up a great deal of this journey he found himself on. He said “I know this is not only my journey, but one for others as well.” I know that his journey has forever changed me and my family….from emails and phone calls we have received he has done the same for you. My prayer as we face these new days without Chris with us physically that we will hold to the amazing memories of who he was, I pray that each of us will do something great for God like Chris wanted to do, and I pray that if you don’t know Jesus like Chris did, that you will seek Him and find the hope and strength that Chris found.

On behalf of my parents and my brothers, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind and loving words, your stories and prayers. Our family will always be missing a piece but we will carry him on with us through our memories.

"God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away" Revelation 21:4

And in the words of Chris’s buddy my 4 year old daughter….Don’t be sad mommy, you don’t have to cry…you will see him again in Heaven…Like every day…

I am going into hiding for a few days....

I wanted to keep my Stamping Family posted on the happenings around here. I will be going into hiding for a few days, yesterday my oldest brother sadly passed away after his courageous battle with Lung Cancer. I miss him desperately already but I know he is so much better now in the arms of Jesus.

My brother was funny, and an amazing person. The last few months he and I grew closer together, we became friends and not just brother and sister. He was taken to soon in our eyes but I know it was God's perfect timing. My family is dealing as best they can, my parents, and my two other brothers are taking it all one day at a time. My brother kept saying till the end that he wanted to do something great for God, and tell all the great things that God has done...and I hope with the Lords help I will be able to share that at his service on Friday, and I hope to post it on here to share with you as well.

This baby sister is heart broken and so badly missing him, it will take some time for this heart to heal. So I will breaking from the blog this week to spend time healing with my kids and family. I hope you understand and I hope that you will keep us in your prayers, we need them. We know God is faithful even in the hardest times God is so good. "In everything give thanks." I am thankful for even the chance to have had this man in my life and to have called him my brother.

Baby Letters

I have been working on some letters for a great friend of mine who is going to welcome a new baby girl to their family in a few weeks! I used stampin up products to decorate letters I got at the craft store!

I used the new flower die cuts out of the Occasions Mini

I curled my flowers by using the stylus that came with the new simply scored tool and rubbed the edges of my flowers.

So I thought I would show you what I have been working on this week. I have not been doing much stamping because addie needed this...

They do drive in movie night at Awana's every January and the kids have to make a car to sit in...Lets just say this has a way of challenging my creative abilities.

16 Days into the New Year and I have yet to sit down and write out my goals for the year, or plan what I want to do. Part of me thinks that I have missed the ball since this is something I should have done 16 days ago. After last year I become a goal setter instead of one who makes resolutions that I NEVER keep. I certainly don't want to look back on another year and wonder what I have done and not be able to remember what I have accomplished. I want to be able to look back at the end of the year and say that I did what God wanted and that I took every open door that he provided for me. While I know this post is 16 days past due, its never to late.

I encouraged my downline to sit down and make goals for themselves this year, whether big or small these goals are something that they should want to achieve and know that they can achieve in their stampin up business. Look at where they want to take their business, where do they see their business at the end of the year. I encourage them to focus on a Quarter at a time and think of classes, sales, customers, and recruiting. Each of these factors play and important part into your Stampin Up business. My second year with stampin Up I set these same goals for myself and far surpassed my own expectations. If you are a demonstrator I encourage you to do the same. Even in your day to day if you are not a demonstrator I encourage you to set goals for yourself and for your family.

Today I went for something pretty clever, with a little baby around the house we have a ton of these formula cans and I WISH I had, had this brilliant idea earlier because everyone would have gotten these! You could also do it with the oatmeal cans....

These are so cute and easy enough to make for everyone and hang up on the tree!

It was made using the Top Note Die for the big shot and has been a popular gift to make among demonstrators this year. These are simply the top note die, folded down a third of the way, ribbon attached through the slits in the top of the fold and stapled over a small baggy filled with candy, embellish and hang on the tree!

Advent Calendar

I wanted to create an advent calendar for addie, a countdown to christmas that you could open each day and reveal a special bible lesson and project. I used a cookie sheet and the round stampin up containers that are used for brads and other embellishments. I placed magnets on the back so they would attach to the cookie sheet.

This is a sample of the inside the others include bible lessons. I have also see the covers of the embellishments done the same way and given as a treat to customers.

I used the Christmas bingo bits to create this calendar.

There is one for all 24 days!

This was my first christmas project of the season using stampin up blocks and retired christmas paper....I wanted to showcase our new family pictures that we had done a few weeks ago....I know these are going to look great downstairs for all the family to see. The best part is that they took me less than an hour to make! You cannot beat that! I am so excited for Christmas it is my favorite time of year and my house is starting to look alot like christmas!

I happened to sit down at the computer yesterday and notice how long it had been since my last post, I know boo on me... :) It has been a week in my house we have all been passing around this little bug yuk! So now that we are slowly clearing that all out and getting better its pretty much time to get into the holiday swing. I had my first show of the season over the weekend and it went so well such a great event for pancreatic cancer in memory of a dear friends dad. I could not think of a greater way to honor him than to raise money for research I know her dad would be so proud of her and her family....

Well another thing to get into the holiday swing is we had our family pictures done and I wanted to share one with you that took my breath away, just so you can see why I cant see to get anything done around here anymore all I want to do is kiss these little cheeks...check it out...

Man I tell you I am blessed with two precious babies....

Well I thought I would start the day with a little family share...Seeing as how yesterday was halloween I thought I would give you a peek into the simply crafted life...I had a princess and a monkey on my hands, which honestly doesnt seem different from any other day but it was nice to be with family and have a good time trick or treating with the kids....

Now onto sharing this cute project with you...

Happy Halloween!

While all the little ones in my house are excited to dress up for trick or treating this evening (pictures to come) I thought I would share the projects that we created in our halloween class last week!

Who doesnt love a cute little witch on halloween and she sure is a cute one!

This card makes me think of my dad....He loved candy corn...I made this candy corn using the pennant punch!

Treats for the little ones! M&Ms covered with a cute monster! Addison loved these!

A treat bag for all the yummy treats and some super cute pumpkins with mustaches to boot!

One last treat that we made, this can so easily be adapted for the holidays! I hope these ideas inspire you to have a fun Halloween!

Fun Flowers-Cancer Display

This past month the foundation has been working on a project taking pledges to tell others about Ovarian Cancer. Each pledges name was placed on a flower and there were also in memory butterflies that could be purchased as well. Every flower or butterfly was a $1 Donation to the Carolina Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. At the end of the month we created this display at the Blumenthal Cancer Center is Charlotte.

Our hope was that this display would encourage and uplift women as they go in for treatment this last week in September we placed over 300 flowers and butterflies in the display...

Using the fun flowers die and the butterfly die we created the display. You can do so much with creativity, using it to uplift and encourage. You can check out more on the Linda F. Kelly Foundation facebook page.

I know this is a card from last year but it is still one of my favorite cards. I love this stamp set that is still available in the big idea book! Great for fall! Oh how I love that it is offically fall! I am headed to the beach monday and I will have lots to share with you through out the week of different projects and even a tutorial for the Fall wreath made with the Simply Scored tool! The weather is cooler and there is a feeling in the air that fall is right around the corner!

Friday marks the first day of fall and I am so excited to get out the fall decorations and go pick pumpkins, drink apple cider and all things fall!

This is one of my fall card ideas from last year but it certainly is one of my favorites! The Top note die makes a great pumpkin! Great for Halloween or anything fall! Would even make a great addition to a scrapbook page!

This is a card idea I have seen circulating amongst several demonstrators and why not its so cute! This tree is made using the triple layer flower punch and the trunk is made from the decorative label punch...

This was yet another borrowed idea from regionals....The flower is made with the butterfly punch and the scallop border punch and the triple layer flower punch is also used on this card.

The cloud was created using the Flower punch, the sailboat is made with the circle punch and the penant punch, the water is the edge of the scalloped pennant on the pennant punch!

Well as most of you know I had my first show this weekend and our annual Ovarian Cancer Fundraiser....It may be monday but I am not recovered AT ALL....Im trying to clean up my mess alittle bit and get ready to tackle another week! Today I wanted to share with you my Hershey Bar Creations...Who doesnt love a good hershey bar...To be honest I think there was one missing in my box and the wrap just happened to be next to my husband...I wonder who ate it?

{Simply-Scored Wreath}

I got this idea from the new Holiday Mini Catalog using the NEW Simply-Scored Tool!! This tool is so great it score every eighth of an inch which makes this project so easy...

Here is how I made it:

Spice Cake DSP

Coordinating cardstock: Old olive, pool party, and more mustard

Spice Cake Buttons

Falling leaves stamp set

Raffia

1 cardboard circle with the center cut out

Tip: HOT GLUE GUN, makes this project alot easier and more secure

Cut various strips 1 1/2, 1 3/4, and 2 inches

Score using the Simply-Scored every quarter inch, flip it over and then score every half inch

Fold up your paper use sticky strip on each end and attach 2 pieces together which will create a large rosette, for a smaller one just use one piece of paper. press in the center on a piece of cardstock punched with the circle punch. Alittle hot glue in the middle to hold your rosette.

Attach your rosettes to your base to create your wreath.

Project time around 2 hours

Building Relationships

A great advantage to being a Stampin Up demonstrators is building relationship, relationships you would have never had, had it not been for Stampin Up. When I met Shirley Mckay and her sister at our Scrap a way to a cure event 4 years ago I never would have guessed what a big part of my life she would become. Not only is she my upline but she is an amazing friend and Nana Shirley to my kids. God puts people in our paths for a reason, and Shirley is no exception to that. When she moved to Texas I was so sad to see her go but knew how happy she was to be closer to her family. She has been home for Regionals and stopped by today to see the kids and spend some time with us. We love nana shirley!

Being a Stampin Up Demonstrator is more than just stamping, its building relationships, learning things about yourself that you never knew, and being able to share amazing things with others. God as creator, created so many beautiful things...being made in His image it is only natural that we are all creative as well in one way or another. How will you share your creativity? This is something that I encourage my downline to do, find what inspires them, what they are working towards...My inspiration board had a makeover Ethan had to be added and my new photo with the ceo.... (I created the picture above on my digital studio for the center of my board)

I filled my board with new ideas, pictures of my loves, Scripture and what nots...looking at this board makes me smile and makes me feel ready to create...

I had to have pictures of my dad...I miss him so much.

Can I just say, I love Stampin Up!

I have loved working for Stampin Up for the last year and a half but I have to say that today truely inspired me and reminded me why I love being a Stampin Up Demonstrator. When I joined Stampin Up January 2010 I never expected to do well, that was until I saw all the possibilities and began to set goals for myself and my Stampin Up business. I have surpassed my goals every quarter this year and I continue to set new goals each month. I love making new friends, sharing what I love, getting the sneak peeks, and like today spending time with other demonstrators. There are so many perks to being a stampin up demonstrator!

Regionals Prep!

Well tomorrow is Stampin Up Regionals in Charlotte! I am so excited my first Stampin Up event, I certainly have high expectations....So you can expect to see some pictures saturday from my day at regionals! Next on my list to share another sneak peek for you is my nametag lanyard. I loved the stampin up sent me the name tag and nothing to put it on, my husband the clever man he is said "they just left it so you could create you own!" So thats just what I did, using new fabric from the holiday mini...

I made the flower and attached it to a pin back so I can take it off and wear it later on my purse or jacket....

Ok so I know it has been a few days since my last post and I promise I am not a slacker, tis the season to be busy....as a family we are currently embarking on a new journey called "homeschooling" we start on the 22nd so I have been busy prepping everything and getting ready (which included rearranging the stamping room to make a space for school) Not to mention sorting the 25 pound box from stampin up that arrived on my doorstep that had me wanting to breakout in a rendition of Jingle Bells, dance classes, doctor appointments you know the drill...I promise I will be a good girl this week and post some fabulous ideas for you! Here is another birthday card using Pennent Parade and the Pennent Punch, we talked a few days ago about the Color Coach and this card I also used the color coach to create.

This is such a great card and it even has a masculine look to it! Its hard to find and make cards for the men in our lives but I think that they would actually like this and enjoy the color combination!

Pennent Parade Birthday

A few days ago I used this set and punch to create a great design for scrapbook pages, and now today and tomorrow we are going to use it on some cards! This set really is so cute and great to use for any occasion. This is a simple birthday card, I used the pennent parade stamp set and pennent punch! Both products are in the new catalog! The DSP is Just add Cake from the new catalog as well!

Check out this new card! I am using new products from the New idea Catalog!

How many of you have the Color Coach? This is such a great tool and allows you to use color combinations that you wouldnt think of on your own, this is combination on the new card for Island indigo, the colors it suggests are Baja Breeze and Rich Razzelberry. I used new paper from the idea book and the My friend stamp set in the new book. I also used the lace border punch to create the border at the top and bottom.

This card is so simple but I love the colors together and I love how simple it is. The my friend stamp can be replaced with other sentiments to meet your needs! Just a hint but there are some great new inside verse and sentiment stamps in the New Catalog!

Delicate Card

I wanted to try something alittle bit different to share with you....

You can always do the same old card but why not change it up!

I love this new paper from the New idea book called Flirtacious! I think that it is so girly, I cannot wait to make a few scrapbook pages with it, definitly matches addies personality!

This card is 4 1/4 x 11 score at 2 3/4 on both sides, fold over....

For the band 2 x 11 with a small peice 2 x3 to cover the gap. Wrap it around the card giving alittle space to slide on and off....

I used the new punch from the catalog called the Lace ribbon border punch.

I think that this makes such a pretty card and I hope that you will give it a try next time you make a card! Delicate Doilies Box

I wanted to make a cute little box with this great new paper from the new idea book! I just love this paper I think it is precious! I made a simple 3x3 box, I havent decided what will go inside yet but I thought it was cute none the less...

This paper has great diecuts in the paper pack! You are going to love it, you can start shopping from the new idea book July 1st!

Its been so hot down here, which always makes a pregnant woman miserable but a 4 year old gets bored fast, so we went out to the splash pad and had a great morning just playing in the water....

Big Sister Pennent Parade

Ive been working on a book of just addie and her new little brother, reserved only for the best pictures of them together. While this isnt stampin up paper I used the new Pennent Parade set to add a banner to the top of the scrapbook pages that says big sister! Now all it needs is for little brother to arrive and pictures of the two of them together to be added to the book!

Here is another sneak peek for you of a new set and even some new paper! This paper is really beautiful and takes a look at color combinations that you wouldnt expect. Colors like Night of Navy, Poppy Parade, Rich Razzelberry and several others. This new paper would be great for scrapbooking pages not just cards! These cards are also made with a new set from the Idea book called my friend. I will use this set over the next few weeks as I share ideas from the new catalog! Delicate Stash...

With the new baby due I figured I should build up my card stash! So I stamped all of these at once, this is a great thing to do when you really like a design and simply use the Teeny Weeny Wishes set and make different themes for each card using the label punch!

I used the Delicate Doilies set and the new incolors to create these cards! I just love them, they are simple but so pretty!

Here is more with the other incolors, there is definatly a favorite color for everyone out of the in colors this year!
